dog deterrent
He continues to lick his wiener, along with all the dogs at the dog park. My Vet says this is because my dog is sweet tasting down there. My dog has already got two infection of the penis because of the licking from other dogs. So I need a recommendation for a non toxic, non alcohol, deterrent spray.
I’ve already tried a natural spray through Petsmart, but my dog just enjoyed licking it.
Where can I buy it?
Sorry, I think my wording was off. OTHER dogs keep licking MY dogs’ penis causing MY dog to have infections.

dog collar training
2 days ago I got my 47lb female lab x Rotti a prong collar because she pulls on walks and because she has aggression towards other dogs. (Having never been socialized with them)
She walked great with it! And I could easily correct her when she tried going into one of her berserk rages when she sees another dog. But then I tried walking her in a field…
She changed back into her pulling and strained against the leash as hard as ever. (It was on properly, it was high on her neck). As soon as she stepped back onto pavement she went into a heel… How should I train her? She didn’t seem to feel the prong collar at all.
Besides that she learned really fast. I’m teaching her the word "heel’ and she already understands what I mean ( I still need to perfect it though) I am also teaching her the command "loose-leash" Which just means she doesn’t have to heel anymore.
I am training her by correction- if she pulls I will give her a tug so she comes back to me. If she is obedient she gets praise and occasionally a treat.
I live in Canada- its the CKC here. I’m not getting her a trainer. She is a dog.
I don’t "babble" to my dog. She understands what I want her to do.
Isn’t longe line work for horses? I looked it up but couldn’t find what it is.
I tried the head collar… It does limit her pulling but because if various reasons I’ve decided not to use it.

dog deterrent
I supose its a weird question, but I want to have small items that I can put on a keychain and make a "dog" keychain for portable use in my purse.
I already have a tick twister, small flashlight, dog deterrent spray.
Do they make other interesting products that are small and keychain friendly for dogs?
Just added a whistle and a clicker! Thank you!
Ohh, a poo bag is a good idea too

dog deterrent
I have 2 Mastiffs, and they love to chew and chew a lot.
Myself and others play with them frequently and they have about 5 acres that they run on all the time.
They are normally very good, but every once in a while, they chew the porch furniture, the fence to the pool, and the porch itself.
I would also like to keep them from the plants out front. They don’t chew on them, but they are so big, they just smash everything.
They also pull logs out of a woodpile to chew on, and they do this all the time.
I only add all of this so i don’t get people telling me they are bored or have nothing to chew on.
So, what are some homemade recipes?
Just some extra stuff. I play with my dogs almost daily. We also live next to a community property where there are literally dozens of people that come and play with them and run them around.
They also behave excellent. When I am around, they will do anything I tell them too immediately.
Chew toys also don’t work. They are close to 200 lbs each and can snap anything into pieces within minutes.

ultrasonic dog bark
Ok so here’s the situation. I have 3 dogs and 1 cat. 1 of my dogs (little chihuahua), barks for everything! I have tried everything from the spray collar, to the ultrasonic/vibrating collars, training with positive reinforcemnt, to putting her on medication! I have always been completley against using a shock collar but it has gotten to the point where I have no choice. I am having a baby soon and I know that the first few months will be stressful trying to get her under control. I refuse to find her a knew home. I love my animals and I am absolutley commited to them. They are ALSO my children and I would do anything for them. I dont want to hear any negative comments please, I would just like to know what the safest collar would be to use for her. She is 7lbs. I also do not intend to use this long term, its only for the first couple months until she gets the idea. Again, PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME HOW THIS IS CRUEL, I KNOW IT IS AND I HAVE NO CHOICE. I just need a simple answer. Thank you so much.

dog collar training
Hey folks… ok so this is the second time im gunna post this coz a certain someone got the wrong idea on it last time…
OK so i have this puppy at home named Koda i adore him so much although he can be a handfull sometimes :S i need some really good tips on how i can train him to be a good dog.. like what age can he be to use a training collar and for you people out there that thinks it’s mean it’s not it help subourn dogs like my one to train better the only time that its mean is if you put the collar up to when it could hurt him.. if it’s at a low stage it gives him a lil shock like a lil soft smake on the nose. but back to what i was saying um i also have this other dog at home he is train but when Koda is around this other dog he doesnt behave at all :S and yes the other dog might be distracting him but koda has to learn to behave me even if there is another dog around. I would love it if anyone had any links or anything that you could post for me.. thanks XX
AND I LOVE MY DOG TO DEATH!!!!!!

Does anybody have a recipe for any kind of natural spray or liquid I can make from common foods/spices, etc. that would help keep my dog away from certain areas in the backyard? I know they have chemical ‘boundary’ sprays at the pet store, but I was thinking if anybody knows of certain scents, etc. that dogs don’t like.
Maybe like pepper in vinegar or something like that? Just so the dog will take a sniff and stay away.
Thanks.

dog collar training
Is there a dog collar system that works like a Bark collar, Training collar, and Electric Fence collar all at the same time?
Right now I have a very resourceful couple of dogs that can escape from and will bark at anything.
I have a dog kennel with 6ft high walls, a floor and roof, tied them in the kennel with 540lb chain and they still manage to get out while I am at work.
While I am home they are perfectly behaved, but once I leave the neighbors say they turn into hell raisers.
The one thing I have found is they will respect electricity. I can find collars that work as a fence (encouraging them to stay in the kennel), others that work for barking (since I guess this is a problem while I am gone too) and yet others that will work for hunting. What I have not found is one that does ALL of this. Does anyone know of one that will (or at least the fence/bark combo, since I already have a hunting set)
I work 4 on 4 off and they get lots of love when I am off work, but there is only so much I can do when I am gone for 4 days.
I do have a neighbor walk them daily, but a 30-90min walk is not the same as all day attention.
I have the electric trainer, and It works fine, but you actually have to be there to use it.
