What is strongest bark collar out there. Real answers please, I dont need reasons as to why I dont need one.?

ultrasonic dog trainer

My dog is insanse, bark collar worked when he was younger. It no longer works, one of those PetSafe Deluxe Collars, worked until he has gotten bigger. I have tried Citranella, Vinegar, Ultrasonic (what a joke), and nothing appears to be working, even trainers have had no luck. This dog can open doors, open latches, climb fences, you name it. A McGyver of sorts, his name is Merlin and sometimes with his miraculous escapes he is slowly inhereting the name Houdini. Someone help without speeches about morale, I will skip the answer and read onward, I want to know the most powerful bark collar money can buy. Static shock is nothing, have any of you felt it, its like rubbing your socks on carpet, there is nothing SHOCKING about it. Help! :)

An dog that cant be trained…?

ultrasonic dog trainer

My dog has been a lost cause for a long time.
We have tried numerous training methods and even professional trainers.
I have since had a baby and his uncontrollable barking, jumping, and biting can not be tolerated anymore.
I really don’t want to have to use a shock collar, but clicker, citronella, ultrasonic.. didn’t work.

We are all worried he could kill or severely harm my daughter. He has already stepped on her, I couldn’t hold him back. He jumps and constantly barks at me when I hold her, jumps on me. He jump on her carrier hitting her.

No matter who comes over to the house he jumps all over them and barks the whole time. We have tried taking him into other rooms, but he is too strong. He is a GSD/Coonhound mix.

I live with my parents momentarily, he is my 20 year old brothers dog, and there is no option of finding him (dog) a new home. My brother refuses to deal with the dog, or even care for it.
It’s called correction doesn’t work.
I have tried those collars.

How on earth can i get my dog to stop barking?

ultrasonic dog trainer

I have a red cattle dog who is now 14 months old. Over the past month he has developed a horrible habit of barking practically all the time, non-stop. We’ve tried almost everything, including:
a) telling him "quiet" then giving him a treat when he is quiet for 3, 6 or 9 seconds
b) ignoring him
c) chastising him
d) ultrasonic collar
e) citronella collar (this actually worked wonders for a few days and then he decided to ignore it and keep barking anyway >:\ )
f) doing what the dog trainer said and putting him in an isolated place when he barks (our bathroom) and then letting him out when he’s quiet.
I have no idea what to do now. I don’t want to get him a shock collar because I believe they are cruel. There’s a two week training course at a local petcare place but I really want that as a last resort.
We think he barks because he wants attention?
Please help!!!

A question about ultrasonic trainers?

ultrasonic dog trainer

Has anyone used a PetSafe PBC00-11216 Outdoor Ultrasonic Bark Deterrent or any other ultrasonice training product? One of our dogs is a Aussie/Bassett mix and he has developed the habit of barking nonstop when he is outside. The neighbors are complaining and we need to do something.

How do ultrasonic pet trainers work?

ultrasonic dog trainer

I have a large german shepherd next door that barks at my boxer/beagle mix everytime she goes out to potty. Most of the time my dog won’t do her business because she is scared of the dog next door. I’ve considered purchasing one of those "Dog Dazer" ultrasonic pet trainers to use on the menace dog when it barks, but I’m worried that it will effect my dog too. Does it only work at the dog its pointed at, or will any dog in the vicinity be effected?
To clarify, I’m referring to the remote trainer, not one associated with a collar.

ultrasonic pet trainer?

ultrasonic dog trainer

my dogs are very affected by this ultrasonic device that i bought from the pet store. it has 2 buttons a positive one and a negative one, but all 4 dogs run and hide at both buttons. I myself can hear a itching, tingling sensation in my ears. Is this actually really bad for not only my dogs but human ears??

How old does a dog have to be to use a remote trainer?

ultrasonic dog trainer

We currently have an almost 4 month old lab puppy. We love him to death, but he has a few horrible habits that we can’t seem to break. He barks incessantly, jumps up on counters, and chases the cat. He also still pees in the house, but we realize a remote trainer can’t solve this. We have tried the ultrasonic sound trainer, but this doesn’t seem to stop him from chasing the cat or barking. We successfully taught him sit and down by using the positive tone, though. We have tried everything to stop him from engaging in these bad behaviors (ignoring him, timeouts, coins in the can, etc.), but they don’t work. How old does he need to be before we can use a remote trainer collar to correct these problem behaviors. We don’t plan on using the remote trainer for general training purposes. We plan on using positive praise.

looking for a dog repellent, possibly ultrasonic, that i can attach to my fence?

ultrasonic dog trainer

i have a neighorhood dog that keeps getting in my yard no matter what i do, and it bothers my dogs. is there anything on the market that can keep this dog out of my yard for good? i’ve seen "trainers" but i’m guessing those are only for handheld use and wouldn’t work in my situation. don’t get me wrong i don’t want to hurt this dog, i just want it to stay the hell out of my yard and leave my dogs alone.

Can you hear "ultrasonic" pest repellents?

ultrasonic dog trainer

I’m not asking if the human race as a whole can hear them, I just want to know how many of YOU can hear them. I’m dogsitting right now, and this person has a couple Viatek ultrasonic pest repellers. I can most definitely hear them, and they’re quite annoying. BEEEEEEEP……..BEEEEEEEP……BEEEEEEEP…..but VERY high-pitched, and with a very steady beat. I KNOW they are the pest repellers, because it’s louder when i put my ear up to them. I had no idea what the sound was when I first walked in. In reminds me in a way of the sound a muted TV makes when you turn it on.

I have heard the ultrasonic dog trainer thing at work, the PetAgree, but I always figured the batteries were going dead, and thus the pitch was lower. These things are NOT going dead, as they are plugged into the wall.

So…can anyone else hear those types of things, or am I just some sort of freak of nature? o.O
Just though I might add…I was curious, and I recorded it on Audacity with my computer, and it says it’s approximately 33 kHz. Good lord, I had no idea. And I also realized – I can’t -always- hear it. I was blasting Les Mis soundtrack as high as I could all day today, and I can’t hear it at all at the moment. Its particularly loud and obnoxious in the morning.

And the ultrasonic dog trainer at work – that’s even high pitched, I wonder just how high it is?
